The Threads social network announced new features, including the ability to send posts via private messages to contacts on Instagram (Threads and Instagram are owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). To forward a post in Threads to an Instagram user, you need to click on a special icon that copies the design of Instagram posts. To add alt text to a photo or video, you must first attach a media file to a message, after which an alt icon will appear on it, allowing you to add new text to the file. You can mention another user by selecting the @ symbol, after which a column will appear where you can select the desired option.
Earlier, the social network added the ability to view posts that the user liked, and search will also be available on the platform in the near future, and the platform itself will receive a full-fledged web version.
