Three American airlines canceled flights to Tel Aviv

United Airlines, Delta Air Lines and American Airlines have canceled flights to Tel Aviv on Wednesday and Thursday, May 12 and 13, Reuters reported, citing data from FlightAware. Last week, the conflict between Israel and Palestine resumed, the sides have exchanged missile strikes for the third day.

It is not known how long the suspension of flights of American companies to the Israeli capital will last. United Airlines and Delta Air Lines told Reuters that the airlines are monitoring the situation in Israel. Delta added that they do not plan to resume flights to Tel Aviv yet.

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict escalated after an Israeli court decision to evict several Arab families from Jerusalem’s Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood. A total of more than 40 people were killed on both sides, over 400 were injured. The Russian Foreign Ministry called Israel’s attempts to change the status of Jerusalem illegal.
