The phenomenon of unsupervised drinking of alcohol among minors is a dangerous phenomenon, which has more than once led to tragic results among the youth. The law states that the sale of alcohol to minors is prohibited. During the last week, an agent operation was carried out in the city of Beitar Illit, during which three businesses were caught red-handed while selling alcohol to minors in violation of the law. The business owners received a summons for a hearing at the police station and a case was opened against them for selling alcohol to minors.

The office stated: “The Israel Police takes serious offenses of this type which directly and indirectly harm the youth in serious violation of the law. The police will act with all the means at their disposal to eradicate this phenomenon and to protect the youth.”
