The ‘Rockumental’ screening cycle, dedicated to films about artists and musical groups, continues its programming on May 31 with ‘The War is Never Over’. The documentary directed by Beth B can be seen in its original version with Spanish subtitles on the big screen at the Montehermoso Palace in Vitoria with a screening that starts at 7:00 p.m. This retrospective reviews an unclassifiable and controversial artist who has sewn her career around rock, improvisation and performance that led her to earn the title of punk icon in New York in the 70s. Lunch is a of the headliners of the Azkena festival, where he will perform on June 15. “I am stubborn, tireless and I don’t give a damn about success,” claimed the artist in a recent interview with EL CORREO.

The other title that completes the ‘Rockumental’ cycle is ‘The story of the Undertones’ (June 7), directed by Tom Collins. This film presented by John Peel – a great icon of British radio – follows the story of five teenagers who created that punk anthem, ‘Teenage Kicks’, in the mid-seventies in Northern Ireland. Once again, this audiovisual production serves as a prelude to the concert by the band The Undertones that can be enjoyed live in Mendizabala soon. The presentation of the documentaries is in charge of Helena González, from the Zinhezba association. The aim of this cycle is to show the high quality of music documentaries and, in this edition, bring some of the most outstanding artists of the great Vitoria rock festival closer from another perspective.
