“There were two matches. In the first half we suffered a bit from their intensity and in the second half we controlled better, we played very well and we were comfortable with possession of the ball. We weren’t surprised. We knew they were going to start very strong with a lot of intensity. We were lucky because they hit the post but after that we were very good at using the ball. We weren’t fast enough in the final third in the first half, but it was much better in the second half and with some great combinations, we scored three fantastic goals. When we opened the scoring, I knew it would be easier for us. We controlled with a lot of quality in the middle of the field, Kroos had a fantastic game and in the second half, there were no more problems”.
