BOLZANO. In these days, on the occasion of the Christmas holidays, the Carabinieri skiers of the stations of Brunico, San Vigilio di Marebbe, Badia, Corvara in Badia, Cadipietra and Predoi are very busy in the daily surveillance and rescue services in the ski areas of Alta Badia, Plan de Corones and Val Pusteria, to ensure absolute safety on the slopes besieged by Italian and especially foreign holidaymakers.
In the last week alone, there were 59 rescue interventions, 5 of which involved the use of helicopters. 11 accidents between skiers were detected, involving a total of 5 administrative violations, due to irregular conduct on the slopes. This year too, as noted in the last ski season, three foreigners have already been identified surprised by the Carabinieri along the ski slopes while they were holding ski lessons without being regularly registered in the register of ski instructors of the Province of Bolzano or having communicated the temporary exercise of the profession.
The problem of the illegal activity of ski instructor in Alto Adige is particularly felt, raised several times by the competent bodies and above all by the serious professionals of the province of Bolzano who regularly carry out this activity and find themselves hindered by those who believe they can easily carry out clear competition illegal and disloyal, like the three sanctioned foreigners.
