The Italian Institute of Culture (IIC) dedicates an entire year to its programming in commemoration of the 70th anniversary and in the month dedicated to women presents a film exhibition that seeks to highlight the advances in terms of women’s rights and inclusion. Through this initiative, three recently produced feature films will be presented that have in common the presence of strong protagonists, who bravely face the challenges of life on the big screen.

Organized by the IIC, sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in collaboration with Trasnocho Cultural, this activity is carried out with the purpose of highlighting the importance of continuing to work for gender equality anywhere in the world, as well as foster an environment of equality and respect for all people, inspired by the fact that only in this way can a future be built where creative development and gender equality are inseparable.

Likewise, the sample is inscribed in the central motive that declared lto the UN this 2023 on the occasion of International Women’s Day: “For an inclusive digital world: Innovation and technology for gender equality”.

TOGETHER FOR A BETTER WORLD

For Andrea Baldi, recently appointed director of IIC Caracas, “gender equality is a fundamental human right. Inclusion and diversity are necessary to build a fairer and more equal society for all people, regardless of their gender. We must work together to create an inclusive digital world, where girls and women have equal opportunities, and can fully contribute to or benefit from innovation and technology.”
