/ The Iraqi Basketball Federation revealed, on Thursday, a schedule of three qualifying matches for the semi-finals of the Iraq Basketball Cup, indicating that the first match will be held tomorrow.
The head of the Iraqi Basketball Federation, Hussein Al-Ameedi, told Agency, “The Competitions Committee of the Basketball Federation announced three matches that will be held within the qualifying competitions for the Iraq Cup semi-finals, which will be held over three days.”
He explained, “One of the qualifying matches for the semi-finals of the tournament within the Iraq Cup Championship matches decided the qualification of Al-Hilla Club after defeating North Oil Club with a score of (80-54).”
Al-Ameedi added, “The three matches will be held in the closed Al-Shaab Sports Hall at nine-thirty at night.”
He stated, “The first match will be held tomorrow, Friday, and will bring together the Degla University Club and Al-Kahraba Club teams.”
The President of the Basketball Association pointed out, “One match will be held the day after tomorrow, Saturday, March 30, bringing together the teams of the Air Defense Club and the Karkh Club.”
The Police Club and North Gas teams will conclude their quarter-final matches on Sunday, March 31st.
The Air Defense Club team was able to eliminate the previous season’s league champion, Al-Naft Club, from the tournament after winning with a score of (72-64) points.
