Three people were shot at the Six Flags Great America amusement park in Gurnee, Illinois on Sunday night, according to media reports in the United States. The shots were fired from a single vehicle in the parking lot that was apparently waiting for the people he shot at, also the shooting took place in the evening and close to the closing time of the park.

The park security personnel and officers from the Gorani police substation who were on the site responded by shooting at the vehicle. Two people were taken to the local hospital, while a third refused treatment. As of this moment, the police are still investigating the incident and trying to understand what was the motive for the shooting and why the wounded man refused to evacuate. The hospital stated that there is no danger to the life of the injured.
