Three Brooklyn residents kidnapped a teenager in New Jersey for ransom. The young citizen was tortured.
Three suspects – Dennis Reyes Mora, Alexander Cruz and Cindy Aleman Fernandez – were charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping. The whole thing was supposed to be the result of a failed drug deal in Delaware on March 17.
After a failed sale, the trio kidnapped an 18-year-old boy who was held for ransom in the basement of a house in Queens. The victim was bound with tape. The teenager was also stabbed multiple times. During his detention, he was also burned with cigarettes or beaten. The kidnapper also allegedly threatened the victim with a gun.
The victim’s family paid the ransom. The teenager was then released.
The kidnappers tried to cover up the crime, but to no avail. They were all arrested by the police.
They are punishable by life imprisonment.
