Kinshasa, 29 March 2023 (CPA) – Three new people were cured and discharged on Monday from the Covid Treatment Centres (CTCo) and among the Patients followed at home in the province of Nord Kivu in the Democratic Republic of Congo, reported the daily bulletin of the Multisectoral Committee for the response to Covid-19, received by CPA.

« On the same day, only one new case of Covid-19 was reported in the provincial city of Kinshasa out of a total of 1,134 samples tested across the country, » the same source said.

The Covid-19 test is free for everyone in DRC, except for unvaccinated travellers who will have to pay 30 US dollars.

The following are the provinces affected by the epidemic: Kinshasa (50,920 cases); North Kivu (10,780 cases); South Kivu (7,056 cases); Central Congo (6,576 cases); Lualaba ( 6,139 cases); Upper Uele (4,060 cases); Shopping (1,583 cases); Ituri (1,444 cases); Eastern Kasai (957 cases); South Ubangi (903 cases); Ecuador (615 cases); Kasai Central (561 cases); Kasai (493 cases); Maniema (354 cases); Bitten (341 cases); North Ubangi (292 cases); Kwilu (230 cases); Mongolian (207 cases); Tshuapa (154 cases); Whitewater (129 cases); Kwango (127 cases); Lower Uele (108 cases); Upper Loma (91 cases); Tanganyika (62 cases); Sankuru (58 cases).

Since the beginning of the epidemic declared on March 10th2020, the cumulative number of cases is 95,947, of which 95,945 are laboratory confirmed and 2 probable. In total, 84,492 people have been cured and 1,464 have died. CPA/
