Rock collapsed at the Denisovskaya mine in the Neryungri district of Yakutia, as a result of which at least three people were injured, the regional department of the Investigative Committee reports.
“A procedural check is being carried out on the fact of the collapse of the rock at the Denisovskaya mine. According to preliminary data, three people were injured and received medical assistance,” the statement said.
As specified in the department, all the victims were sent to be treated on an outpatient basis, nothing threatens their lives.
According to preliminary data, shortly before the collapse, a “shock of the earth’s crust” occurred in the vicinity of the mine.
The Denisovskaya coal mine is part of the Denisovsky GOK of the Kolmar coal mining company, its reserves are estimated at 32.1 million tons.
