The number of affiliates in the National Insurance in the regions of Girona has increased in the month of April in all counties of the demarcation of Girona compared to the previous year, according to provisional data from the Statistics Institute of Catalonia (Idescat).
In Catalonia, Baix Penedès (4.4%) leads the regions with the highest year-on-year increase, followed by Selva (+3,9%).
Along with the Selva, the Baix Empordà, with an increase of 3.3% of the number of members of Social Security, son the two regions of Girona that exceed the Catalan average (+3,2%).
In Girona, these two regions are followed by Alt Empordà (+3%), Gironès (+2.8%), Cerdanya (+2.3%), Garrotxa (+1.8%), the Plan de l’Estany (+1.7%) and the Ripollès (+1.4%).
If we compare the figures recorded in April with those achieved 30 days earlier, in March, the regions of Girona also they record good data regarding the number of Social Security members, with increments to all of them, with only one exceptionCerdanya, where they fall by 0.8%.
The monthly increase, both in Girona and Catalonia, is led by Selva and Alt Empordà, both with a rise of 4.8%. Baix Empordà, with a 4.5% increase in members, is the third region of Catalonia with better records. In Girona, the list is completed by Gironès and Pla de l’Estany (+1.1%), Garrotxa (+0.9%) and Ripollès (+0.5%).
