Three security guards for Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazimi were injured in a drone attack on his residence, Iraqi news agency Shafaq reported on November 7.

“A security source said on Sunday that three security guards for Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazimi were injured in an attack aimed at his residence in the green zone,” the statement said.

Al-Kazimi himself on Twitter confirmed that he was fine and not injured.

“The resilience and perseverance of our heroic security forces will not be weakened as they work to keep people safe, achieve justice and enforce the law. I am fine, praise the Lord, and I call everyone to calmness and restraint for the sake of Iraq. ” wrote politician.

Earlier on November 7, the Iraqi prime minister was hospitalized after a bomb attack on his residence, Alarabiya reported. An Iraqi security source confirmed the interception of a drone believed to have attempted to attack al-Kazimi’s home.
