He National District Fire Brigade reported this Monday a fire in the Delcom II residential area of the El Cacique sector, in the National District, where they rescued seven adults and two children who were inside that place, the residence of Johanna Menayounger sister of the communicator Albert Mena.
A member of that body informed LISTÍN DIARIO that the accident that occurred last night affected three vehicles that were on the first floor of the building.
For his part, the radio and television presenter explained through his Instagram that: “Everything indicates that the fire was caused by a short circuit” caused by one of the vehicles.
Likewise, Mena congratulated the work of the Fire Department. Among those he mentionedl Col. Cesar Valera, Captain Jody Santos, Lieutenant Luna, Lieutenant Andujar, Col. Triunfer Cabrera and Lieutenant Brayan Valera, who “in approximately 1 hour were able to put out the fire” and get their sister and all the neighbors “safe and sound.”
“Thank God she is fine, we only have material losses, but it was not easy to arrive and see the building on fire without being able to do absolutely nothing,” he said.
