Bulgarian freeriders achieved three victories for men and women in the big international freeride competition 3 stars Freeride World Tour Qualifier, qualifying round of the Freeride World Tour world series, which took place today under Mount Todorka in Bansko.

The starting height was 2746 meters from the “Todorka” peak itself, the gradient (vertical descent) – 350-400 m, and the descent length was 800-1000 meters. Slope gradient averages 30′ – 55′. The competition was in the ski and snowboard categories (men and women).

In women’s snowboarding, Teodora Ilieva is first, ahead of Iliana Mihovska and Teodora Zlateva. The men’s winner was Borislav Stoyanov, ahead of Alexander Simu (Austria) and Zlatko Zlatkov (Republic of North Macedonia).

In women’s skiing, the fastest was Shisato Sasada (Japan). Second is Marte Tveteu (Norway) and third is Zanna Farrell (Australia). The third victory for Bulgaria was in the men’s skiing competition, where Simeon Pavlov triumphed. Michael Raleigh (Austria) is second, ahead of Baptiste Coromp (France).

All guests watched the competition from the highest fan zone in Bulgaria, which was located next to the upper station of the lifts “Plato” and “Bunderitsa 2” at an altitude of 2550 m above sea level, from where an excellent view of the entire slope was revealed, along which the athletes descended . This year, for the first time, juniors also participated in the competition, fighting for points in the Freeride World Tour Junior 2.

The participants of the competition today were evaluated by 6 certified judges, and the final evaluation was formed by criteria such as difficulty of the selected slope line, control during the entire descent, ease of execution of the individual elements, as well as technique and complexity of the jumps.
