New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi congratulated the Indian cricket team for winning the Asia Cup against Pakistan. Describing the India-Pak match as a ‘thriller’, Rahul Gandhi also tweeted that he was proud of the Indian team’s performance.
‘What a thriller match! Well played, Team India. The beauty of sports is how it inspires and unites the nation,” tweeted Rahul Gandhi. Priyanka tweeted congratulating the Indian team for their brilliant performance and victory.
India beat Pakistan by five wickets. Ravindra Jadeja (35 off 29 balls), Virat Kohli (35 off 34 balls), Hardik Pandya (33 off 17 balls) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar who took four wickets are the architects of India’s victory. This is the ninth time that India has defeated Pakistan in the Asia Cup. This is also India’s first win in Asia Cup 2022. Ten months ago, India lost to Pakistan in the Twenty20 World Cup. This victory was a sweet revenge for the Indian team.
