This special program highlights some of the great achievements that Morocco has experienced over the past 25 years in various fields, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Group said in a statement.

One aspect of these achievements is illustrated on the souvenir sheet of this issue by stylized drawings representing the map of the Kingdom of Morocco with an opening onto Africa symbolized by the Morocco-Nigeria Gas Pipeline, the Mohammed VI Tower, the Grand Theater of Rabat, the Mohammed VI Football Academy and an aerial view of the Agadir desalination plant, specifies the same source.

Employing original and sophisticated techniques in terms of design and printing, this philatelic achievement marks a first in this field by the printing technique used which skillfully combines a mix of materials such as oak veneer, premium gold leaf and graphic paper, with advanced production techniques such as laser cutting and digital UV inkjet printing, explains the press release.

This block of postage stamps enriches the philatelic collection issued by Barid Al-Maghrib under the sign of innovation to celebrate national events, underlines the Group, citing the souvenir sheet celebrating the “20th anniversary of the enthronement of His Majesty King Mohammed VI” in 2019, printed with gold gilding and special perforation, the souvenir sheet “50th anniversary of His Majesty King Mohammed VI” in 2013, printed in 100% natural silk thread, as well as the souvenir sheet and the lenticular postage stamp “10th anniversary of the enthronement of His Majesty King Mohammed VI” in 2009, printed respectively using the embossing, gilding and lenticular imaging techniques.

On the occasion of this glorious celebration of the Throne Day, Barid Al-Maghrib is also organizing a philatelic exhibition under the theme “25th anniversary of the enthronement of His Majesty King Mohammed VI” from July 31 in its museum in Rabat, the statement said, adding that a presentation ceremony of this new innovative issue will also take place on August 8.
