Throne Day: Inauguration and launch of several development projects in Rehamna

Inaugurated and launched in the presence of the governor of the province of Rehamna, Aziz Bouignane, who was accompanied by elected officials, representatives of civil society, security and territorial authorities, heads of external services, as well as civil and military figures, these projects aim to strengthen infrastructure and basic services in this province of the Kingdom, so as to contribute to improving the living conditions of the local population and achieve overall development for this part of the national territory.

These development projects are also part of the inauguration program launched by the prefecture of the province of Rehamna to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the glorious Throne Day, as well as within the framework of the implementation of the strategic vision of HM King Mohammed VI, aimed at creating proactive initiatives in order to achieve comprehensive and integrated human development.

At the level of the Aït Talib commune, Mr. Bouignane proceeded with the inauguration of the first level health center, which was rebuilt according to the most modern standards.

This health structure will allow residents of this municipality and neighboring municipalities to benefit from primary health care.

This important health structure is thus added to the 31 hospital establishments available in the province, which are spread across its various territorial municipalities.

Regarding the education sector, Mr. Bouignane laid the foundation stone for the project to build two secondary schools in the municipalities of Aït Talib and Aït Hammou.

At the level of the Ait Talib commune, explanations were provided to Mr. Bouignane and the delegation accompanying him, on a project aiming at connecting 190 douars to the electricity network.

Since its completion, this project has provided 3,331 households, or approximately 19,740 beneficiaries, with access to electricity.

At the same time, the report on rural electrification in the province of Rehamna was presented.

This assessment shows that some 1,043 douars have been connected to the electricity network, or 228,000 beneficiaries, while the rural electrification rate has reached 99.91%.

At the level of the Skhour Rehamna commune, Mr. Bouignane proceeded with the inauguration of the liquid sanitation project of this urban center, the fruit of a partnership between the province of Rehamna, the Skhour Rehamna commune, the European Union, the German Development Bank (KfW), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the French Development Agency (AFD).

With a total cost of 40 MDH, this project will benefit more than 6,000 residents.

At the end of the two-day inauguration program, a project to strengthen the drinking water supply was presented, with the aim of ensuring the availability of this vital commodity for the population.
