Throne Day: The Minister of the Interior holds a working meeting with the Walis and governors of the territorial administration and central services

In a press release, the ministry indicates that this meeting took place in the presence of the Army Corps General, Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, the Director General of Studies and Documentation, the General Delegate for Prison Administration and Reintegration, the Division General, Inspector of Auxiliary Forces (Northern zone), the Brigadier General, Director General of Civil Protection and the Colonel-Major, Inspector of Auxiliary Forces (Southern zone).

According to the press release, the participants in this meeting took this opportunity to highlight the High Royal Guidelines contained in the Speech from the Throne on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the enthronement of His Majesty the King, expressing their deep appreciation of the enlightened Royal Vision that has marked, over the past years, the management of public affairs, and which has established the Kingdom as a model to follow on the political, security, economic, social and cultural levels.

In the context of the interaction with the historical developments that the first national cause is experiencing, including the recent position expressed by France which considers that the present and future of the Moroccan Sahara are part of Moroccan sovereignty, the Ministry of the Interior affirms that the current stage requires more adhesion from all the actors and stakeholders, and at their head the Walis and the governors who are called upon to play their full role as catalysts of development programs and in terms of supervising the action of local authorities which constitute an essential partner of the State in its efforts for construction in the region.

At the same time, the services of the Ministry of the Interior have emphasized the need to redouble efforts to ensure the success of the social state project as a major royal project that is implemented according to a clear and integrated vision, emphasizing that conscious and responsible involvement in the implementation of this project constitutes a national duty that requires the various stakeholders to continue their full commitment to its noble objectives.

The press release noted that in the same spirit, the said meeting assessed the implementation of various public policies of a strategic nature such as “water stress”, “advanced regionalization”, “administrative decentralization”, “the National Initiative for Human Development” and “the management of Soulaliyates lands”, while shedding light on the means of consolidating the governance of public management and creating a new dynamic at the level of all of these vital projects.

Regarding the General Population and Housing Census scheduled for next month, the services of the Ministry of the Interior have expressed their full availability to continue managing the next stages with the required efficiency, alongside the services of the High Commission for Planning, through a global mobilization of the necessary human and logistical resources and effective coordination between all the stakeholders concerned, namely administrations, public institutions and local authorities.

Given the major international deadlines awaiting the Kingdom, the statement underlines the need to raise the level of mobilization during the next phase, and to fully adhere to efforts aimed at developing infrastructure and ensuring the convergence of interventions by all parties concerned.
