The Royal Speech calls, with clarity and firmness, for a general mobilization of all segments of society: citizens, political actors, industrialists, sectoral administrations and civil society, he added in a statement to MAP.

This alert resonates as a call for collective action aimed at establishing a culture of rational and sustainable water management, he continued.

Mr. Boudali noted that the Royal Vision also emphasizes the importance of technological innovation and the modernization of water infrastructure, noting that seawater desalination plants, powered by renewable energies, are a promising solution.

The construction of stations like the one in Casablanca, the largest in Africa, illustrates this commitment to sustainable and ecological water production, explained the president of ECOSOCC-AU.

He also considered that the treatment and reuse of wastewater must be expanded to meet agricultural and industrial needs, while preserving our natural resources.

Water management requires rigorous governance and strengthened inter-sectoral coordination to ensure efficient and equitable use of water resources, Mr. Boudali observed.

He added that the creation of integrated water resource management structures and the establishment of a water police aim to protect this precious resource against any abusive exploitation.

The leadership of His Majesty the King, through his clear directives and strategic vision, embodies Morocco’s commitment to meeting these challenges, he noted, specifying that the implementation of the National Program for Drinking Water Supply and Irrigation 2020-2027, with its substantial investments and technological innovations, is a testimony to this commitment.
