Through housing units: A singer and his partner were arrested on suspicion of not reporting income

by time news

Adiel Tyree and Mor Dahan, a couple from the center of time, were arrested on suspicion of not reporting income amounting to millions of shekels from renting housing units in their area and from Tyree’s work as a singer.

The beginning of the investigation began following a suspicion that arose in the tax authority that the two were not reporting their full income. As a result, an investigation was opened and as part of this, many documents were seized from the suspects’ homes, along with checks and cash that was found in Dahan’s home. The suspicion also arose that between 2012-2015, the couple rented out many housing units and did not report their income to the tax authorities.

In 2021, the tax authority required Teiri to present leases for the housing units he owns, a request that remained unanswered. About a year later, Tyree submitted tax returns for the years 2020 and 2021 in which he reported income from renting housing units. Although Tyree allegedly has income from his work as a singer, there is no expression of this income in his reports to the income tax, not even as an employee. The court discussed their case today (Thursday) and ordered their release under restrictive conditions. The investigation continues.
