Through strategic commission, Rector of UNAD strengthens academic alliances with institutions in Ecuador
In order to boost academic agreements in undergraduate and postgraduate technological programs and seeking to strengthen the positioning of the Unadista Pedagogical Model, a delegation made up of the rector of UNAD, Jaime Leal Afanador, the Vice-rector for Academics and Research, Constanza Abadía and Claudio Rama, Chancellor of UNAD for Latin America, traveled to that country where an inter-institutional relationship agenda was developed and destined for that purpose.

In this way, during 5 days, spaces were made possible with authorities from the Colombian Embassy in Ecuador, the Secretariat of Higher Education Institutions and the Secretariat of Higher Education, Science, Technology – SENESCYT in order to contextualize these actors. about UNAD, its creation, mission, vision, its postulates regarding educational inclusion and the interest in managing alliances in countries of the region that allow it to transcend borders and expand the scope of action and impact of its Unadista Pedagogical Model, as well as the projects that involve UNAD 5.0 as a leader in cutting-edge virtual and distance education in the region.
Likewise, this mobility was the scenario that allowed to carry out the strengthening with different Ecuadorian academic entities, namely:
Signature FOLLOWS Agreement: After a visit to the SIGUE facilities, (Integrated University, Educational and Business Management Services) where it was possible to learn about its management methodology and its work team, the signing of the Framework Agreement between UNAD and SIGUE took place. , an agreement that will allow the profile of the programs of interest to be offered in Ecuador to be analyzed, as well as the consolidation of a strategic work route, its phases, schedule and indicators.

Meeting with the Commission of Universities and the Commission of Graduate Studies and Technological Institutes of Ecuador: The meetings established here made it possible to generate the strategic and necessary support for these Ecuadorian entities to publicize the expansion process of the UNAD through a meeting where good practices, simulators, their mediation and everything related to the knowledge management.
Higher Education Council. Meeting with Carmita Álvarez, president of the Commission of Universities and Fidel Márquez, president of the Commission of Graduate Studies and Technological Institutes of Ecuador.
Agreement signed with the Indoamérica Technological University – UTI: The framework agreement will enable student and teacher mobility, as well as joint projects especially aimed at advising on teacher training and strengthening the technological platform, media and mediations of online education.
Framework Agreement with the Universidad Indoamérica
Student mobility agreement Technical University, Loja: Dialogues were held on the importance of strengthening the virtual mobility of students and teachers in related programs. As a commitment, the meeting of the two vice-chancellors was established to specify the programs related to mobility. Likewise, there was a discussion about the upcoming visit of two UTPL officials related to knowing the experience of UNAD in social projection.
Andean University Agreement: Meetings were held that made it possible to learn about the educational offer and the affinity between programs and research, and as a short-term project, advice for the management of virtual education, mainly in terms of teacher training. The draft of the Framework agreement will be delivered shortly.
Meeting of the Council for Quality Assurance of Higher Education of Ecuador CACES: The space allowed to publicize the raison d’être of the UNAD, its gestation and evolution. As a commitment, it was stipulated that within the framework of the event to be held on virtual education they will attend as speakers and support the dissemination process.
