The weather will still be hot on Saturday, but marked by rain and thunderstorms in the northern half of the country, according to Météo-France. The stormy showers will rise during the next night towards the Massif Central, the Centre-Val de Loire and Burgundy, gradually losing activity. A stormy disturbance will then circulate from the start of the day on Saturday over Brittany, then in the morning from Pays de la Loire to Normandy. It will be accompanied by sometimes intense rains and locally strong gusts of wind.

In the afternoon, this rainy-stormy weather will shift from Normandy to the Centre-Val de Loire, then towards the Paris Basin and to the Belgian border. Over the rest of the northern half, skies will be overcast but not threatening. In the south and on the eastern side of the country, a very hot and sunny weather will resist, except on the relief where a few showers could develop.

Strong heat in the South

Minimum temperatures will be between 15 and 20 degrees in general, up to 20 and 25 at the edge of the Mediterranean. The maximums will rise from 22 to 27 degrees over the regions bordering the English Channel, from 27 to 31 degrees from the interior of Normandy in the Pays de la Loire and Aquitaine, and from 30 to 35 degrees elsewhere, locally until at 36 to 37 degrees in the Rhone Valley, Burgundy and Alsace.
