The sky will darken. The weather will be marked on Sunday by thunderstorms over a large part of the country, according to Meteo Francewhile orange storm vigilance is underway on Saturday in 7 departments of Normandie and Pays de la Loire.

Calvados, Eure, Orne, Manche, Seine-Maritime, Mayenne and Sarthe are currently on orange alert.

On Sunday, the stormy zone will shift over the eastern two-thirds of the country, with the exception of Alsace and part of Lorraine which will be spared.

In detail, thunderstorms will develop around midday on the reliefs of the Pyrenees, the Massif Central, the Jura, the Alps and Corsica. They will also form in the afternoon in an area ranging from the east of Hauts-de-France and the Champagne-Ardennes region to Burgundy, via Ile-de-France. They will be locally very intense with significant rainfall accumulations in a short time, and a risk of hail.

At the end of the afternoon, the stormy showers will overflow on the plains of the PACA region and especially, during the night, on the plains of the South-West, south of the Garonne.

Elsewhere the weather will become calmer again at night. The Atlantic coast and the Mediterranean regions will remain clear of the choppy weather despite a cloudy atmosphere in the morning. Thinning will become significant in the afternoon.

Minimum temperatures will range from 13 to 18 degrees. It will be up to 18 to 22 degrees in Brittany and Normandy. The thermometer will often show 23 to 28 degrees and it will be even hotter in Hauts-de-France and in the Grand Est, eastern Ile-de-France and Languedoc-Roussillon, with values ​​reaching 29 to 32 degrees.
