After the cancellation in early July, the first date after the Zurich summer holidays is now set: The 34th Zurich lake crossing will definitely take place next Wednesday. The 1,500-meter route leads from Mythenquai beach to Tiefenbrunnen beach. There will be 12 starting groups between 2:30 PM and 5:55 PM. Tickets for 25 francs have been available online since Monday at noon, as announced by the organizers on Monday.

A maximum of 9000 swimmers can participate in the event. It is aimed at experienced swimmers aged 16 and above. Youths aged 12 to 15 may also participate for free if accompanied by an adult.

Participants must wear numbered swim caps from the start to the finish. Boats with lifeguards are stationed along the route every 50 to 70 meters.
