Tiffany Haddish Arrested for DUI in Los Angeles – Second Time in Less than Two Years

by time news

Emmy and Grammy winner Tiffany Haddish was arrested on Friday in Los Angeles on suspicion of driving under the influence. Police in Beverly Hills found the entertainer, 43, appearing to be slumped over the steering wheel of her car, which was stopped in the road with the engine still running at 5:45am.

Video obtained by TMZ shows Haddish being handcuffed and led into the back of a patrol car. She received a DUI citation and was later released. This marks the second time in less than two years that Haddish has been arrested on similar allegations. In January 2022, she was arrested in Peachtree City, Georgia, on suspicion of driving under the influence after being found asleep in her car on a highway.

In addition to her legal troubles, Haddish has also faced a lawsuit alleging sexual abuse, which she and fellow comedian Aries Spears denied. The plaintiff later dropped the case. Despite these challenges, Haddish has continued to find success in her career, starring in several prominent productions and winning awards for her work.

Haddish’s memoir, The Last Black Unicorn, earned her a Grammy nomination and was a New York Times bestseller, and she has appeared in films such as Girls Trip, Night School, Like a Boss, and The Kitchen.

The entertainer has not addressed the recent arrest, and her trial for the 2022 DUI arrest is tentatively scheduled for January. Despite these legal challenges, Haddish’s career continues to thrive, and she remains a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.
