Comedian Tiffany Haddish pleads not guilty for DUI charges in Los Angeles

Comedian Tiffany Haddish has entered a not guilty plea in her Los Angeles DUI case. The 44-year-old actress was charged with two counts by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a .08% BAC. This follows her arrest last month for her second DUI in less than two years.

On November 24, police found Haddish asleep behind the wheel of her car, which was still running and in the middle of busy Beverly Drive. This incident occurred just hours after her comedy show at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach on Thanksgiving.

Haddish is reportedly ordered by a Georgia judge to abstain from alcohol and illegal drugs and undergo random drug testing. The judge has granted the motion and ordered Haddish not to drink, use drugs, except for prescription drugs within the therapeutic limit, and to submit to drug testing for general illegal drugs and alcohol metabolites.

In the wake of her arrest, Haddish vowed to get help and learn balance and boundaries. She expressed regret over the incident and emphasized that it does not define her. Her representatives were contacted for comment, but no response has been received.

This is not the first time Haddish has been involved in a DUI incident. In January 2022, she was arrested in Georgia under similar circumstances. However, according to a source close to the star, she is keen to move on from the incidents and is looking forward to getting back to work and finding new opportunities in the new year.
