Tigard Youth Football Prepares for Exciting 2024 Season with Free Mouth Guards, Equipment Pickup & Registration Updates

Tigard Youth Football (TYF) is gearing up for another season of competition, offering families key dates and resources to prepare young athletes for success on the field. With registration filling up quickly, families are encouraged to take advantage of upcoming events and opportunities to ensure a smooth start to the season.
Free Mouth Guard Event for All Players
Ensuring player safety is a top priority for TYF. To that end, all players are eligible to receive a free mouth guard courtesy of Bull Mountain Orthodontics. The event will be held at two convenient times and locations:
- Wednesday, July 9th, from 5:30–6:30 PM
- Thursday, July 17th, from 9:00–10:30 AM
Bull Mountain Orthodontics is located at 11545 SW Durham Road, Suite B-6, Tigard, OR 97224, and can be reached at 503-620-4626. No appointment is necessary – players can simply walk up to receive their complimentary mouth guard.
Equipment Pickup for Tackle Football Players
Tackle football players will have multiple opportunities to pick up their equipment at Tigard High School Football Stadium:
- Saturday, July 19th, from 8:00 AM – Noon
- Sunday, July 20th, from 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Sunday, August 3rd, from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
These designated pickup times will allow players to be fully equipped and ready for the upcoming conditioning camp.
Show Your Team Spirit with Official TYF Apparel
Fans and players can now represent Tigard Football with official team apparel available for purchase online. The TYF apparel store offers a wide range of sizes, including options for men, women, and youth.
Offseason Training Opportunities Available
TYF encourages players to continue developing their skills during the offseason. Several local camps and private training opportunities are available, including a new program led by Trevin Laird, a former TYF and Tigard High School standout. Key Dates for Tackle and Flag Football Seasons
The 2024 season is shaping up to be an exciting one for both tackle and flag football participants. Here’s a breakdown of important dates:
Tackle Football:
- Opening Conditioning Week Camp: August 4–7, from 6:00–8:30 PM. This camp will be led by Tigard High School coaches and players and is considered a highlight of the year.
- Jamboree: Saturday, August 23rd – further details will be announced soon.
- Regular Season: Saturdays, September 6th – November 1st, with the potential for a two-week playoff period for JV and Varsity teams.
Flag Football:
- Practices Begin: Week of August 11th
- Games Start: Saturday, September 6th
