“Tiger” reveals healthy food that helps in losing weight and reduces the risk of diabetes

Al-Marsad newspaper: Consultant cardiologist, Dr. Khaled Al-Nimr, said that oats are a healthy food, as eating whole grains regularly helps in weight loss and reduces the risk of diabetes.

Al-Nimr recommended choosing foods made from whole grains; Examples: 100% whole wheat bread, oats, and brown rice.

“Al-Nimr” cited a report by the Ministry of Health saying that eating a diet rich in fiber can reduce the risk of coronary heart disease, colon cancer, and death, and that eating fiber protects against type 2 diabetes, and eating soluble fiber, such as Fiber in vegetables and fruits, especially in legumes, helps control blood sugar in people with diabetes, and fiber is found in many breakfast cereals, fruits, and vegetables.
