Belarusian democratic leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya will be in the United States on September 17-23, her chief adviser Franak Vecherko told Pozirk.
The visit program includes high-level meetings with politicians from the United States and other countries, and with the Belarusian diaspora in New York.
During the visit, Tikhanovskaya is expected to hold talks with US Undersecretary of State for Civil Security, Democracy and Human Rights Uzra Zeya, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Yuri Kim, and Deputy Administrator of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Isabelle Coleman.
Meetings with the President of Guatemala Alejandro Jamatei and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland Elina Valtonen, and participation in the events of the UN General Assembly are also planned.
This is the fourth visit to the country by the Belarusian democratic leader.
