The changeover to winter is difficult for many. It disrupts our internal clock. Understanding these better can help you stay healthy.

BSurely you have heard this sentence before: If everything goes well, we sleep through a third of our lives! At first glance, the sentence probably sounds paradoxical to many – but only as long as we dismiss the hours of sleep as wasted time. If we think of sleep as a medical application that helps us stay alive while still looking good, in a good mood and able to perform, it makes sense.

In the course of evolution, humans and animals have adapted to a whole series of natural time cycles. The phrase “My biological clock is ticking” is mostly only heard from people who think they are late in producing offspring. In reality, nature offers a whole range of programs and there is something for everyone.
