The car that took off together with the legendary Fantômas, or Citroën DS can rightly be considered one of the biggest reference points in the history of the automotive industry. Paul is surprised how the French managed to create such an elegant car 10 years after the war. The owner of the power plant Andis Kļaviņš knows how to tell that in 1955 after Citroën DS the presentation at the Paris exhibition was followed by more than ten thousand orders, and at the end of the 90s, this model was voted by designers as the most beautiful of all time.
Although at one time this model Citroën mass produced, there are not many of them in Latvia. Perhaps it is to blame Citroën the dubious reputation or the fact that this car cannot be fixed with a screwdriver and a spanner alone – you have to know what you are doing.
The car has hydraulic suspension, which makes it a flying carpet – Paul concludes that no one will be cut off when going fast on any road surface. Citroën DS rolls smoothly, has great visibility and an amazing brake pedal, but under the hood is another story.
