These figures were made public on Thursday in Tinghir, during a ceremony on the occasion of the celebration of the 18th anniversary of this major royal project, held under the theme “Phase III of the INDH: assessment of achievements and gains”, in the presence of the governor of the province, Hassan Zitouni.
Thus, 61 projects and actions with a total cost of 49.5 MDH were implemented within the framework of program 1 (Catching up on deficits in infrastructure and basic social services) of phase III, while 57 projects and actions, having mobilized an investment of 22.4 MDH, were carried out within the framework of program 2 (Support for people in precarious situations).
As for program 3 (Income improvement and economic inclusion of young people), 186 projects were carried out with a total cost of 28.18 MDH.
Similarly, 423 projects mobilizing an investment of 187.18 MDH were carried out during the same period, within the framework of program 4 of the INDH (Impulsion of the human capital of rising generations).
The areas targeted under program 1 show that 33 projects were implemented in the drinking water sector for the benefit of 82 douars, 21 in education, 5 in health and 2 in electricity.
Under Programme 2, 25 projects implemented concerned the construction and equipment of reception centres and 11 concerned the maintenance and reform of reception centres, while 19 projects concerned the support and management of similar centres and 2 others concerned the acquisition of transport vehicles, mobile medical units and ambulances.
Regarding programme 3, 143 of the projects carried out concern the entrepreneurship axis and 39 that of the social and solidarity economy, while 3 concern the creation of the Youth Platform and 1 on the integration of young people.
Furthermore, the 423 projects implemented under programme 4 focus on the areas of generalisation of pre-school education in rural areas (347 projects and actions), support for schooling (44 projects and actions) and maternal and child health (32 projects).
Speaking at this ceremony, Mr. Zitouni stressed that the INDH project has enabled, since its launch by HM King Mohammed VI in 2005, to accomplish achievements that have had a “positive” impact on the living conditions of the targeted population, through projects and actions carried out in the different regions of Morocco.
Mr. Zitouni noted that phase III of the INDH adopts a proactive and renewed approach aimed at consolidating achievements, while continuing to work for greater development and social equity in the service of human capital, rising generations and categories living in precarious situations.
At the level of the province of Tinghir, continued the governor, the results of the achievements of the INDH are “very honorable”, specifying that the projects and actions carried out have had a “positive” impact on the local population.
This meeting took place in the presence of local officials, as well as representatives of local development committees and the community network.
