Tiruppur District: Son arrested for throwing stone at father’s head for drunken rioting!

There is a useless quarry and crusher in Kodangipalayam area near Palladam in Tirupur district. Selvaraj, 42, from Palani, has been living with his mother and son’s daughter in a wage job. It is said that his wife died a few years ago.

Selvaraj, who is addicted to alcohol, used to come home drunk every day and quarrel with his mother and son. It is said that Selvaraj, who returned home after drinking as usual last night, got into a dispute with his son, daughter and mother who were at home.

At one point, his enraged son Ashwat 20 pushed his father Selvaraj down and threw a nearby boulder at Selvaraj, who is said to have died tragically in a pool of blood at the scene. Palladam police rushed to the spot, seized Selvaraj’s body and sent it to Palladam Government Hospital for autopsy.

Selvaraj’s son Ashwath has also been arrested in connection with the murder. The incident in which the son of a drunken father who had been harassing his drunken family members and stoned him to death has caused a stir in the area.
