Here’s a sentence that won’t surprise anyone – Titi Ainau looked amazing in her wedding dresses. One of the most beautiful women in the world married her partner Tzachi Frankel yesterday in three dresses from the Margot fashion house, designed by Shiran Margot and Ella Kalisky Cohen. She did it in two modern, geometric first dresses and a sexy third dress that caught us off guard.
Everyone is talking about the first dress, and probably rightly so. The inspiration of the designers, according to them, is “classic minimalism that draws inspiration from the royalty of England for generations. We designed a tight-fitting dress with a strapless and sophisticated off-the-shoulder cut without a waist cut. We chose the split to be at the back to keep it classic and comfortable. The dress was made of white crepe fabric and we added a trail that connects to the back and can be pulled out.’
But we are just as excited about the second dress, which really looked like it was from the same collection, only more daring. “The goal was to create a kind of optical illusion print, and at the same time to keep classic but looser lines,” say the designers. To this end, they chose two different types of satin fabric and combined them with round and asymmetrical cuts that flattered the body shape.
The last dress was already quite a departure, inspired by one of the most notorious but also fashionably interesting decades – the eighties. The designers chose lace reminiscent of vintage maps in order to create a contrast between vintage and chic, and created a dress with a deep neckline, a short skirt with a slit and a kimono with shoulder pads from the same lace fabric.
