The introduction of new restrictions In Moscow, due to the worsening epidemiological situation, it can be compared with a “control shot” for the restaurant industry and means new losses. This was stated by Boris Titov, authorized by the President of Russia for the protection of the rights of entrepreneurs, in a comment to TASS.

“For the Moscow public catering, this news sounded like a control shot. New losses are inevitable for the already unrecovered industry, ”he said.

Titov also noted that if the authorities prolong the restrictive measures, then they will have to prepare a “life buoy” for the industry, or “change the attitude towards the need for universal vaccination.”

Earlier today, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin signed a decree introducing the introduction of non-working days in the capital from June 15 to 19, with the preservation of wages for workers due to the worsening situation with the coronavirus.

According to the document, all catering establishments from June 13 to June 20 are prohibited from serving visitors at night – from 23.00 to 6.00 (except for takeaway service). In addition, children’s playrooms and food courts in the shopping center will temporarily stop working, and attractions, children’s and sports grounds, rental points, gazebos, etc. in parks.

The city authorities also recommended moving to remote work for as many workers as possible who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 – at least 30% of the payroll of organizations. Elderly Muscovites are advised to stay at home.
