This new cinema hall, which has taken up residence at the Mohammed Khair-Eddine cultural center, will contribute to the strengthening of cultural activities and the promotion of the film industry in Tiznit, the provincial director of Culture, Mahmoud Zemati, told MAP.
The hall is equipped with cutting-edge cinema technology, based on the ministry’s belief in the importance of revitalizing cultural centers and providing quality entertainment spaces that can strengthen cinematographic culture, he added.
For their part, professionals in the sector welcomed this initiative which aims to create a cultural, artistic and cinematographic dynamic in order to allow young people in particular to access cinema.
The project to put into service 150 rooms in the twelve regions of the Kingdom is the result of collaborative work that is part of the dynamic initiated in the cultural field under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, particularly with regard to social development and cultural rights.
This initiative aims to create a new ecosystem for Moroccan producers and directors so that they can meet citizens in the different cities of Morocco which will now have their own cinemas.
Intended to fill the gap in the cinematographic offer, this initiative also aims to allow young people, wherever they are in Morocco, to access the cinema, to meet artists and to better understand the history of their country through the 7th art.
