Between November and December, the TJMS Court of Justice (Court of Justice of Mato Grosso do Sul) will serve six municipalities in Mato Grosso do Sul, to offer free legal services to the local community. From this Monday (20th), the trailer will be in the municipality of Jateí, 292 km from the Capital, and will remain in the city until November 21st.
On the 23rd and 24th of November, the Carreta da Justiça will continue to serve the population of Vicentina. The next cities to receive the mobile unit, according to the calendar, are Laguna Carapã (27 and 28/11), Douradina (30/11 and 01/12), Aral Moreira (11 and 12/12) and Antônio João (14 and 15/12).
The Carreta da Justiça aims to bring the Judiciary closer to the population, providing citizenship to people who have never had the opportunity to use judicial services without the need to travel to the city where there is a Forum.
The structure of the Carreta da Justiça is a miniature of a forum, with a judge’s office, a room for the prosecutor, a public defender, a bathroom, a small pantry and a balcony at the front to receive people, totaling 44 m².
Other years – In 2022, during the mobile unit’s visit to Jateí, 250 people took advantage of the services offered. The recognition of a stable union and its conversion into marriage were the most sought after, totaling 24 requests.
In addition, three divorces, one exemption from maintenance and one recognition of a stable union were carried out, resulting in 29 new actions.
Last year, during the visit to Vicentina, 260 people sought solutions to their demands at the Judiciary’s mobile unit. The recognition of stable unions and their conversion into marriage were also the most sought after services in Vicentina, with 27 couples assisted.
Other assistance included 12 divorces, one recognition of a stable union and one conversion of separation into divorce. In total, 41 new actions were opened, and 99 appointments, consultations, information and general guidance were carried out.
