Tlalpan increased its level of transparency and accountability, says Alfa González

The Tlalpan mayor’s office increased its level of transparency, accountability and access to public information, reaching 95.59 percent in compliance with transparency obligations, while at the beginning of the administration the percentage was 70 percent, according to the Institute for Transparency, Access to Public Information, Protection of Personal Data and Accountability of Mexico City (INFOCDMX).

This was reported by Mayor Alfa González when she commented that during her administration there were results in the prevention and real fight against corruption, through important alliances and joint strategies with different organizations.

He reported that, in terms of open government, the mayor’s office obtained first place in the category of municipalities in Mexico and third place nationwide in the Open Government Metric 2023 carried out by the National Institute for Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI) and the Center for Economic Research and Teaching (CIDE).

The mayor’s office also received the distinctions of “100% Trained Transparency Committee and Transparency Unit” and the 100% Trained Plus recognition in the field of Archives, for the training accredited by the structural staff.

In addition, the demarcation workers received the Plus distinction after being trained in file organization in 2024. “Even the demarcation’s public servants have become trainers in this matter,” he added.

Gonzáles Magallanes explained that in the 2024 Annual Training Program on Transparency of the Tlalpan mayor’s office approved for the current year, a training workshop was implemented that will be taught by structure personnel trained by INFOCDMX to the base workforce, so that the demarcation continues to stand out for promoting the culture of transparency.

One of the main objectives of the program, it was stated during the ordinary session of the Transparency Committee, is to provide a better service to citizens who exercise their right to information, facilitating their knowledge and tools in transparency, access to information and protection of personal data.

Regarding requests for public information and personal data, 1,476 were confirmed, of which only 90 are pending resolution.

As regards compliance with reviews by the Internal Control Body of the demarcation, 61 personal data systems, privacy notices and security documents corresponding to 28 systems were updated.
