Gabriela Osorio, elected mayor of Tlalpanworks hard to receive the mayoralty where she will build a large cultural project; however, she is worried because she has not received information from the outgoing government on the actual conditions of the demarcation.
“She arrived enthusiastic, with great enthusiasm, the truth is a bit worried about the conditions in which we are going to receive the mayor’s office, but busy building (…) the great project with the help of the entire population of Tlalpan”, expressed, in an interview for 24 HOURS, Gaby Osorio.
He announced that starting on August 15th he will visit the mayor’s office every morning to review the infrastructure it has, and see what personally the conditions in which the community centers are foundsports, urban service camps, construction sites, as well as markets; however, he insisted that he expects the information to be delivered in a transparent manner.
Now, he is forming his team, a task that he considered is not easy, since he must be trained and have a lot of commitment to the public service.
Osorio assured that as part of the transformation in Tlalpan Cultural rights and education will be essential to the next project, where one of the objectives is to ensure that culture is not centralized and reaches all areas of the municipality.
The objective, he reiterated, is to make the demarcation more cultural in the south of Mexico City, which is why a link with the Utopias proposed by the elected head of government is also contemplated, Clara Brugada, and in turn link public spaces with these similar spaces and build a cultural network.
He said that the spaces that he will prioritize will be the indigenous peoples as well as the area of the Ajusco, sites where he assured that the first will be built Utopias in the mayor’s office Tlalpan, where there is a higher rate of marginalization and there are more than 100 thousand inhabitants and where there are no public, sports or recreational spaces such as swimming pools or sports fields.
Gaby Osorio highlighted the value of the Ajusco area, where there are many problems, such as logging illegal, the invasion and the growth of the urban sprawl, Therefore, it proposes coordinated work with society to maintain and protect this space, since 80 percent of the demarcation is conservation land.
As for the problem of the cheesecakes, which he stressed is linked to the generation of insecurity, he said that he will pay attention to the economy to eliminate these turns and propose a change in economic activities, promoting in turn sowing and harvesting to reactivate the countryside, in addition to promoting tourism in the area.
