TN Budget 2023 AIADMK Walkout: The Tamil Nadu Government’s budget for the year 2023-24 was tabled in the Legislative Assembly today (March 20). Finance Minister PDR Palanivel Thiagarajan presented the department-wise financial report when the assembly started at 10 am.

Earlier, when the assembly started, AIADMK legislators were raising slogans against the DMK government. Subsequently, AIADMK members led by the leader of opposition and interim general secretary of AIADMK Edappadi Palanishamy walked out of the assembly.

Currently, Finance Minister PDR Palanivel Thiagarajan has made various announcements in the budget. In particular, it has been announced that the breakfast program will be extended to all government schools and an allocation of Rs.500 crore has been made for the program. It is to be recalled that the number of days the budget session will be held will be decided in the office review committee meeting chaired by Speaker Appa after the submission of the budget and will be announced today.
