Indonesian Military Announces Major Leadership Shuffle Across All Branches

A sweeping reorganization of leadership within the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) took effect on December 15, 2025, with the reassignment of 187 high-ranking officers, aimed at bolstering organizational strength and maintaining operational readiness.

the reshuffle impacts all branches of the TNI, with 109 officers reassigned from the Indonesian Army, 36 from the Indonesian Navy, and 42 from the Indonesian air Force. Key Army Appointments

Several prominent changes occurred within the Indonesian Army ranks. Brigadier General TNI Aulia dwi Nasrullah has been appointed as the new Head of the TNI Information Center (Kapuspen), succeeding Major General TNI (Mar) Freddy Ardianzah.

Further changes within the Army information Center saw Brigadier General Mochamad Masrukin, formerly Deputy Commander, assume the role of Commander.He replaced Major General TNI Zainuddin, who has transitioned to a position as expert Reviewer in the Field of law and Human Rights at the National Resilience Institute (Lemhanas).

The command of the 2nd Infantry Division of Kostrad is now under the leadership of Major General TNI Primadi Saiful Sulun, taking over from Major General TNI Susilo, who will serve as level III Expert Staff Officer to the Army Chief of Staff for National Defense system Management.

Naval and Air Force Leadership Updates

The Indonesian Navy also saw key personnel changes, with Admiral TNI Sumarji Bimoaji appointed as Commander of the XIII Naval Regional Command, replacing admiral TNI Phundi Rusbandi, who will now serve as Senior Officer of Level III Expert Staff for Maritime Force Progress.

In the Indonesian Air Force, Marsda TNI Mochammad Untung Suropati, previously Intelligence Assistant to the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, has been named Commander of Air Operations Command II. He succeeds Marsda TNI Deni Hasoloan Simajuntak, who will now serve as Assistant for Communications and Electronics to the Chief of Staff of the Air Force.

According to a statement from head of the TNI National Police Headquarters Maj. Gen.
