TNPSC Group 2, 2A Mains Results to be Declared on January 12, 2024

The much-awaited results of the TNPSC Group 2, 2A Mains examination will be declared on January 12, 2024, by the TNPSB. This announcement comes after a prolonged wait for the candidates who had passed the first preliminary examination held in May 2022.

A total of 57,641 candidates had qualified in the primary examination, which was held on February 25. Despite the expectations of the results to be published within a few months of the completion of the examination, the results were not forthcoming, leading to widespread frustration among the candidates.

In response to the delay, prominent political figures such as AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami and BMC President Anbumani Ramadoss insisted that the results should be published without further delay. Subsequently, the results of Group 2 and Group 2A Mains were announced to be declared on January 12, 2024, by TNPSB.

In a recent development, the results of the primary examination for the TNPSC Group-2 interview post were published a day earlier than expected. Candidates can now check their results on the website www.tnpsc.gov.in, where the roll numbers of the candidates selected for the interview have also been made available.

Furthermore, it was announced earlier by TNPSC that the number of vacancies for the TNPSC Group-2 and 2A exam has been increased. 620 new vacancies have been added to the existing vacancies, bringing the total vacancies for Group-II examination to 5,860. This number has now been further increased to 6151, providing more opportunities for aspiring candidates.

The declaration of the TNPSC Group 2, 2A Mains results will bring much-needed relief to the candidates who have been eagerly awaiting the outcome of their hard work. With the increased vacancies, it is hoped that more candidates will have the opportunity to fulfill their aspirations and embark on a career in the public sector.
