The former columnist for Touche pas à mon poste (TPMP) is in fact engaged in legal proceedings against the host Cyril Hanouna – who must be heard this Thursday at 2 p.m. by the commission of inquiry -, after a big clash over the set of the C8 show in November 2022. A complaint was filed on each side. C8 was also fined a record 3.5 million euros.

We will see each other again at the trial,” wrote the LFI deputy for Val-de-Marne on X (ex-Twitter). According to the official newspaper, Cyril Hanouna will be accompanied by Lionel Eisenstein, the general director of H20, his production company.

Three changes in the commission

This resignation was confirmed in the official journal. “It was never planned for Louis Boyard to be present during Cyril Hanouna’s hearing due to ongoing procedures,” the LFI group at the National Assembly and the MP’s entourage confirm to Le Parisien. Louis Boyard’s entourage affirms that these “switches” (changes) are common. “He wanted to ask Vincent Bolloré a question,” he adds, thus justifying the entry, then the exit of Louis Boyard from this commission of inquiry two days apart. Vincent Bolloré was interviewed this Wednesday, but Louis Boyard was ultimately unable to ask his question.

In detail, two other LFI deputies, Nadège Abomangoli (MP for Seine-Saint-Denis) and Ségolène Amiot (MP for Loire-Atlantique), are also leaving the commission of inquiry. All three of them will be numerically replaced by David Guiraud (LFI deputy for the North), Rachel Keke (LFI deputy for Val-de-Marne) and Sarah Legrain (LFI deputy for Paris).

This commission of inquiry was launched by LFI deputies. This aims in particular to know whether CNews and C8 will be able to keep their digital terrestrial television (DTT) frequency, despite numerous reminders from the regulator, Arcom. The group’s boss Vincent Bolloré was interviewed this Wednesday. “The success of the Canal channels and the freedom of tone of Canal are annoying,” he argued. Regarding Cyril Hanouna, “it is his success that protects him,” added Vincent Bolloré.
