Most of the representatives under the banner of the United for the Republic (EPR) with whom I spoke do not want an exclusive union with the LR. First, for one important reason: the legislative agreement proposed by Laurent Wauquiez is a very right-wing system which does not correspond to the balanced point of the Party. After all, this coalition will not have a majority on its own. It brings together the best 213 representatives. So it can only stand by the tacit support of the National Rally (RN). This would be the exact opposite of the spirit of the Republican front that was put forth during the elections..
