To join the Jamaat requires the permission of superiors: Ghulam Parwar

He said this in a statement on Tuesday (August 27) about the recent news of various organizations joining Jamaat.

Professor Mia Golam Parwar said that recently we have come to the notice of some people joining Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami from various organizations. Jamaat-e-Islami is an Islamic political organization. Any person inspired by the ideals of Jamaat-e-Islami and agreeing with the goals and objectives of this organization can join Jamaat-e-Islami.

He said, we are currently going through a special situation after the student revolution. Jamaat-e-Islami is implementing a program to stand by the families of those martyred and injured in the anti-discrimination movement and participate in their mourning. Besides, activities are continuing with the help of flood victims. At this time, our main work is to play a role in the development of the law and order situation along with the reformation of the country and the nation and rehabilitation of the victims.

In such a situation, if anyone wants to join Jamaat-e-Islami from different organizations at metropolitan, district, upazila, police station, municipality, ward and unit level, they must take permission from the higher organization. The effectiveness of joining those who have already joined will be suspended, said this top leader of Jamaat.
