A Costco turned into a ‘water park’ when a thunderstorm flooded the store in Manchester.
Water poured heavily from the Costco’s ceiling as torrential rains hit the city. The event happened on Monday, June 12, but the startling images have only just surfaced.

In a video posted to Instagram, huge puddles of water can be seen forming on the floor as shoppers take out their phones to start filming, others desperately try to dodge the water.

That day the Met Office, the UK’s national weather service, placed parts of the Greater Manchester area under a general weather warning.
Heavy rain, thunder and lightning were also battering parts of Greater Manchester, roads were flooded and trees were falling on various paths.
The warm temperatures of the previous weekend had been mitigated by the downpour, which flooded the platforms at the city’s Piccadilly station and caused major delays for travellers.
Manchester City’s victory parade after winning the Champions League was also delayed by the weather.
