To the sound of Cassiane, Oficina G3 announces the launch of a new DVD

by time news

Known inside and outside the gospel scene as one of the greatest rock bands in Brazil, and in the Christian segment as one of the greatest in the world, Oficina G3 returned to the stage after years of pause, in order to launch another DVD.

The announcement was made through the social networks of the band members, such as guitarist Juninho Afram, who presented unpublished images from the recording of the DVD to the sound of the song Com Além Louvor, by Pentecostal singer Cassiane, masking the original track.

It is “with great praise” that I present to you [sic] some images from our DVD ‘Humanos Tour’, recorded in São Paulo in the last show of an unforgettable tour”, posted Juninho. “We are super happy with the result and super excited to see the finished project.”

According to the guitarist, the new Oficina G3 DVD is still being finalized, but soon the public will know “when it will be released, where to watch it, whether it will be on physical media, digital, VHS, LP, cassette tape, Roll”, joked Juninho.

“root” return

Founded in 1987, the band Oficina G3 had taken a break from its activities in 2017, returning only in 2022 with members who were part of its foundation, such as drummer Walter Lopes.

Vocalist Pedro Geraldo Mazarão, better known as “PG”, also returned to the group after Mauro Henrique left. That year the band toured to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the album “Humanos”.

During this period, one of the members of Oficina G3, bassist Duca Tambasco, became the target of criticism from many followers after aligning himself with the national political left, including participating in the show at the inauguration ceremony of current president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, alongside singers like Leonardo Gonçalves and Kleber Lucas.

Pastor Anderson Silva even demanded a boycott of the band and bassist from churches, stating that “supporting the left is agreeing with their philosophical systems that are totally contrary to the evangelical faith!”

The band Oficina G3, however, never showed any partisan political bias in their official channels or presentations, and some of the other historical members, such as PG, have already taken a strong position in defense of biblical-conservative thinking. Watch:
