Thiruvananthapuram: In Kerala, 12,223 people have been confirmed as covid-19 (covid 19) Ernakulam 2944, Thiruvananthapuram 1562, Kottayam 1062, Kollam 990, Kozhikode 934, Thrissur 828, Idukki 710, Alappuzha 578, Pathanamthitta 555, Wayanad 495, Kannur 444, Palakkad 438 and Malappuram. The disease was confirmed in 419 districts and Kasaragod 264 districts today. 77,598 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.

There are currently 2,32,052 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 2,26,887 are under home / institutional quarantine and 5165 are under observation in hospitals. A total of 765 people were newly admitted to the hospital. Currently, out of 1,13,798 Kovid cases, only 4.5 per cent are admitted to hospitals / field hospitals.

Kovid-19 has been confirmed to have caused 25 deaths in the last 24 hours. In addition, 118 deaths were reported in the previous days due to late receipt of documents and 195 deaths due to appeal by the Central Government under the new guidelines of the Supreme Court. This brings the total death toll in the state to 63,019.

Today, 33 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 11,046 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 1056 is not clear. 88 health workers were affected by the disease.

Of those diagnosed and treated, 21,906 recovered. Thiruvananthapuram 1956, Kollam 3182, Pathanamthitta 605, Alappuzha 1577, Kottayam 2713, Idukki 1220, Ernakulam 3514, Thrissur 1402, Palakkad 1115, Malappuram 1300, Kozhikode 1563, Wayanad 511, Kannur 966 and Kasaragod 282 were cured. With this, 1,13,798 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 62,62,770 have so far been freed from Kovid.
